I'm trying to restore the Dashboard database (using SQL Server 2005) and I'm getting the following error:
Msg 3201, Level 16, State 2, Line 1
Cannot open backup device 'C:\Documents and Settings\user\My Documents\Visual Studio 2008\WebSites\Dropthings\database\Dashboard\Dashboard.bak'. Operating system error 3 (The system cannot find the path specified.).
Msg 3013, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
RESTORE DATABASE is terminating abnormally.

But the fact of the matter is that is the path where I unzipped the project

Does anybody has an answer for this?
Thanks very much.

PS: Doing a Restore filelistonly I get:
Dashboard G:\Databases\Dashboard.mdf
Dashboardlog G:\Databases\Dashboardlog.ldf

I don't have a path "G:\..."

Hi Martinez,

While you restoring on "Restore Database" wizard click on "Options" on the left hand side then you will see "G:\Databases\Dashboard.mdf" click on that and you can be able to edit that. Please supply some path name that really exists e.g: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\DATA" or any other location which is valid and already existed.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
